At the crucial stage of deepening and implementing the Belt and Road Initiative, to earnestly respond to national calls and fulfill the mission of international medical public welfare, a team led by Yang Xueyong, Director of Cardiac Surgery, and Chen Jiao, Hematology Expert from Beijing Jingdu Children's Hospital, traveled to Bangladesh to carry out a several-day public welfare free clinic and health science popularization activity. They built a cross-border health bridge with exquisite medical skills, helped improve the people's well-being of co-construction countries with doctors' responsibility, and let the warmth of the Silk Road nourish children's health.

Upon arrival, the expert team ignored the fatigue of the journey and quickly engaged in medical assistance work. A long queue formed early at the free clinic site, where children and their parents from all over Bangladesh waited anxiously for consultations. Many families drove for hours specially to seek professional diagnosis and treatment guidance. With decades of clinical experience in pediatric cardiac surgery, Director Yang Xueyong carefully auscultated each child, reviewed medical records, accurately diagnosed conditions such as congenital heart disease, patiently answered parents' questions about disease diagnosis and treatment as well as post-operative care, and formulated personalized health suggestions for complex cases one by one. Expert Chen Jiao focused on common childhood hematological diseases, carefully screened for anemia, blood infections and other issues, provided adaptive diagnosis and treatment plans based on local medical conditions, and meanwhile taught accompanying medical staff the key points of disease identification and passed on practical diagnosis and treatment skills hand in hand. During the consultation, the experts remained gentle and patient all the time, relieved children's tension and dispelled parents' anxiety with professionalism and care. Every detailed reminder and accurate diagnosis filled the scene with warm power.

In addition to the public welfare free clinic, the expert team also carefully held special lectures on children's health, focusing on core contents such as childhood heart disease prevention, daily care of hematological diseases and children's healthy growth maintenance. They explained health knowledge in a popular way combined with typical clinical cases, which not only had professional medical theoretical support but also met the local children's health needs, attracting active participation of local medical staff and parent representatives. The lecture scene was full of interactions; everyone carefully recorded key points and actively asked questions and communicated. The experts responded in detail one by one, effectively helping the local area improve children's health awareness and basic medical service capabilities.

This public welfare medical activity not only brought high-quality medical resources to Bangladeshi children and alleviated the local children's medical needs but also won warm welcome and high recognition from local people. After the free clinic, many parents specially expressed their gratitude to the expert team, and local medical institutions also highly praised the team's professional quality and public welfare feelings, stating that this assistance not only solved practical health problems but also brought advanced diagnosis and treatment concepts and technical experience.

As a professional institution deeply engaged in the field of children's medical care, Beijing Jingdu Children's Hospital has always adhered to the original aspiration of "protecting children's health and fulfilling social responsibility". This public welfare assistance to Bangladesh is not only a specific practice of responding to the Belt and Road Initiative and deepening international medical cooperation but also a vivid interpretation of doctors' benevolence transcending national borders. In the future, the hospital will continue to give play to its professional medical advantages, actively participate in international public welfare medical activities, continuously deepen medical exchanges and cooperation with co-construction countries, convey Chinese medical warmth through practical actions, and contribute more efforts to promoting the joint construction and sharing of people's well-being under the Belt and Road Initiative and protecting the healthy growth of children from all countries.
