Biography

Dr. An Tao, Master of Medicine, is the Academic Vice President and Director of the Department of Child Health at Beijing Jingdu Children's Hospital, holding the title of Chief Physician. She graduated from Peking University Health Science Center and Chinese PLA General Hospital successively, with nearly 25 years of experience in pediatric clinical practice and child health care, including 20 years in tertiary hospitals and 8 years in high-end private women and children's hospitals. Dr. An has specialized in child psychological intervention and autism diagnosis and treatment for years, establishing a comprehensive "Evaluation-Intervention-Follow-up" diagnosis and treatment system. She has served as Standing Committee Member of the Military Pediatrics Professional Committee and Secretary & Committee Member of the General Staff Obstetrics and Gynecology & Pediatrics Professional Committee. Currently, she also holds multiple important academic positions, such as Committee Member of the Child Growth and Development Professional Committee of China Primary Health Care Foundation, Committee Member of the Infant Development Professional Committee of China Eugenics and Health Association, and Distinguished Expert of the China Medical and Health Science and Technology Innovation Achievement Transformation Expert Database, enjoying high recognition in the fields of pediatric clinical practice, child health care and child psychological behavior.


Clinical Focus

1. Child psychological behavior intervention: Proficient in the assessment and counseling of common psychological problems such as inattention, hyperactivity, school avoidance, anxiety and depression. Adopting a combination of behavioral intervention and family guidance to help children improve their psychological state and enhance social and adaptive abilities.

2. Autism diagnosis and treatment: Skilled in early screening, accurate diagnosis and individualized intervention of autism (autism spectrum disorder). Formulating hierarchical intervention programs such as behavioral training, social skills development and language rehabilitation for children of different ages. Good at multidisciplinary collaborative diagnosis and treatment, cooperating with speech therapy, rehabilitation physical therapy and other departments to provide comprehensive rehabilitation support for autistic children, significantly improving core symptoms such as social communication and stereotyped behaviors.

3. Diagnosis and treatment of common, frequently-occurring and critical pediatric diseases, such as respiratory diseases (e.g., acute upper respiratory tract infection, bronchopneumonia, allergic cough) and digestive system diseases, providing basic medical security for children.

2. Child vaccination, early comprehensive development evaluation and guidance, and high-risk infant management. She is particularly good at neurodevelopmental monitoring and early intervention for high-risk infants, reducing the risk of psychological and behavioral abnormalities and autism.

3. Child growth and development assessment, height management, diagnosis and treatment of short stature and precocious puberty, helping children achieve ideal growth and development status.

4. Child feeding guidance, nutritional assessment and intervention, solving nutritional problems such as anorexia and picky eating in children. Providing targeted nutritional support programs for children with psychological behavior problems and autism to assist in improving symptoms.
