Li Long, born in May 1962, is a renowned expert in pediatric surgery in China. He currently serves as the Director of General (Neonatal) Surgery at the Children's Hospital Affiliated to the Capital Institute of Pediatrics, Director of Pediatric Surgery at Tsinghua University Affiliated Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital, Professor, Chief Physician, and Doctoral Supervisor. He also holds the position of Chief Expert in General Surgery at the Capital Institute of Pediatrics. Studying under Academician Zhang Jinzhe, the founder of pediatric surgery in China, he has dedicated over 30 years to the field of pediatric surgery, achieving groundbreaking results in congenital digestive tract malformations and minimally invasive surgical techniques. He is particularly at the world's leading level in the laparoscopic treatment of choledochal cysts.
